First Whisky Still Sold
It has been a year of milestones and it pleases me to write here that the first whisky still has been sold. And I am really excited that it will be used to make single malts; yes, you heard right, the pinacle of whiskies will be made here in Australia. Brisbane to be precise. It must be my Scotish roots that give me goosebumps when someone makes a single malt outside of Scotland, so good luck and know that I will be here supporting you.
As you can see from the photos, there is little that looks as good as polished copper, but it doesn’t take a shine over night after the elves have kindly done their work. It takes hours of hard work and sweat, and the right products. I’ll take this opportunity to thank Rex from Polish-up for his extensive advice and knowledge on the subject. Thank Rex.
There are two new projects in the pipeline and both happen to be gin stills, one is a 120 litre boiler with the necessary head gear, and the other is a 50 litre boiler. The 120 litre boiler is a custom product that would be made specifically for the user and is part of my service to try to meet the needs of customers in copper. I can’t do everything, but I will, sure as a squirrel stores nuts, do my best.
